Supervision details
I offer supervision to other health professionals, including Clinical and Counselling Psychologists. I have worked extensively with complex trauma and personality disorder in both inpatient and out patient settings. I have additional training in DBT, EMDR and CFT. I was previously Clinical Lead for an outpatient DBT team. I have also worked as part of a programme working closely with probation and prison services for individuals who were within the criminal justice system having committed a high - medium risk offence and had a diagnosis of personality disorder. The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
