Francesca Thorpe (MBACP)Accredited, Supervisor & Mindfulness Trained

Winchester, Hampshire, SO23
07768 814403 07768 814403 Registered / Accredited

I trained at the Consultancy, Supervision, Research and Training (CSTD) using Robin Shoet and Peter Hawkins Seven Eyed Process Model of Counselling Supervision. I work within an Integrative and Systemic framework.  I see supervision as an essential part of the counselling process. I provide a safe and collaborative environment; encouraging a reflective process of both the counselling and supervisory relationships. I see my role as supporting you to grow in your work.

I feel the below quote from Peter Hawkins and Robin Shoets book Supervision in the Helping Professions Chapter 1 encompasses the role of the supervisor which I aim and hope to provide within the supervisory relationship.

"The supervisors role is not just to reassure the worker, but to allow the emotional disturbance to be felt within the safer setting of the supervisory relationship, where it can be survived, reflected upon and learnt from".

I have supervised trainee counsellors at Surrey University, and both qualified and trainee counsellors in my private practice.

I charge £50 for a sixty minute supervision session, and negotiated rates for trainee counsellors.  I can also offer longer supervision sessions if preferred.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
