Hello, I’m Karen. I offer a safe and respectful space where you can reflect on your practice in a flexible way that meets your personal and professional needs. I offer supervision to qualified therapists, counsellors and psychologists. I hope you find the information that you need here. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or would like to discuss working together.

My approach to supervision
I provide a safe and respectful space where you can reflect on direct client work and professional issues via webcam, phone, instant messaging or email. I tailor supervision to your particular needs and we can reflect together on what underpins your practice dilemmas and decisions. I always approach your supervision agenda with respect and compassion for what is important to you to bring to the sessions. I draw on the models of Inskipp & Proctor (2001) and Hawkins & Shohet (2012) in my supervisory practice to create a space in which effective supervision can occur.

About me
I am a HCPC registered clinical psychologist, having qualified in 2014. I am a chartered member of the BPS and a full member of ACTO (Association for Counselling and Therapy Online). Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked within a variety of healthcare roles within the NHS for over 11 years, including as a mental health nurse, and I value the diversity of my experience. I work solely within private practice and I currently offer all of my therapeutic and supervisory work online. My core working models are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am also currently nurturing an interest in Compassion Focused Therapy.

Supervisory experience
I have experience of supervising counsellors, clinical psychologists, assistant psychologists, nurses and health care assistants on a 1:1 basis, in addition to providing group supervision. I am currently an internal supervisor for the Academy for Online Counselling & Psychotherapy, in addition to supervising privately. I have a Diploma in Digital Supervision (awarded with distinction) and I currently supervise therapists working face to face and online.

My fees

I offer an initial 60 minute session at a reduced rate of £30 in order that we can meet and discuss your requirements, so we can see if we are a good fit and would like to work together. If we decide to work together, the following fees apply:

£60 for a 60 minute session via webcam, phone, IM or email.

£75 for a 90 minute session via webcam, phone, IM or email.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
