Supervision details
I love working as a supervisor and have been qualified for over 10 years. My starting point is to offer a safe, creative space in which practitioners can freely explore and develop their own unique therapeutic styles and strengths. Personally, I have mainly trained in person-centred / humanistic approaches, mindfulness and 3rd wave CBTs, and transpersonal psychology. I feel confident, however, that I can support a wide variety of practitioners to actualise their therapeutic potential, whatever their training background. I have over 25 years of experience in the field of mental health, working with both adults and with children. I have worked as a school counsellor, with families, as an outreach worker in the community, as a volunteer in a therapeutic community, as a mindfulness teacher, and as a therapist in private practice. I have a few chapters published, including one in the Sage Handbook of Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am currently a visiting teacher on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Manchester.
