Are you are a counsellor, therapist, psychotherapist, doctor or other professional, including those in training, working with families  and finding it particularly challenging? This maybe a good moment to consider external support with a registered and qualified specialist Family and Systemic Psychotherapist who has a University post graduate qualification in Supervision and Consultation. I have supervised a wide range of professionals in my NHS and private practice including nurses, doctors, psychotherapists, psychologists, therapists, counsellors, teachers and nursery nurses.

In particular for fully Qualified Family and Systemic Psychotherapists or those in this training, I provide high quality specialist and tailored consultation or supervision. Having been a Lead for Family Psychotherapy in a County wide NHS specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) I have direct experience and training of high risk situations, including safeguarding as well as supporting practitioners in these and other challenging situations. This isn't restricted to children and young people but also adults with mental health struggles and those with concerns about parenting.

I work closely with professional's learning and development interests.

Team and also joint supervision (eg 2 colleagues working closely who want supervision or consultation togdther) is also available.

I am on both the UKCP and Association for Family Therapy lists as a Supervisor and have 30 years experience of student, trainee and professional supervision.

Please contact in the first instance by email or phone without any obligation if you would like to discuss your supervision needs or have any questions about my work.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
