Toad Lily Counselling and Supervision Services has quietly navigated its own journey from its formation in 2016 and has developed from traditional Face-to-Face therapy to a bespoke service tailored to individual needs using a variety of methods including online and telephone. The Supervision service has recently been added with the completion of the Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision (level 6 qualification). (Counselling Tutor).

Currently I am in placement. This is the final requirement of the certificate and requires 20 hours of supervision (Face to face, online or telephone) to be monitored through my own supervision and awarding body.

Due to the placement value of the current supervision service in terms of cost, the fees will currently be at a reduced rate of £30 per hour. We can discuss this at our initial meeting.

After this time the fees will increase to £50 per hour per supervisee.

Supervision Information

At the heart of our work together is the supervisory relationship which is scaffolded by a theoretical approach known as the Seven Eyed Model of Supervision (Shohet and Hawkins’ 1985). This model incorporates a structured relational and systemic approach to the variety of relationships encountered within the process with an awareness of their interplay and enabling the client to remain central.

Through the relevant relationships encountered within this model there is active attention drawn to the

·       Ethical and legal frameworks

·       Supervisory and therapeutic relationship

·       Diversity in the supervisory and therapeutic relationship

·       Educational support using an online environment

·       Increasing development of self-awareness and self-care

·       Use of theory

·       Development of self-reflection

These specific relationships noted through the seven ‘eyes’ or ‘modes’ of the theoretical model are focussed on the

·       Client

·       Interventions

·       Client-Therapist Relationship

·       Therapist’s Process

·       Therapist-Supervisor Relationship

·       Supervisor’s Process

·       Wider Context

I hope this offers you an insight into my supervisory practice however, if there is further information you require, please do not hesitate to make contact with me and I will be happy to answer any questions.
