Supervision should be as individual as you and your clients are.

I offer supervision from an integrative viewpoint.  I work with CBT, Person-centred therapy, solution focused therapy, NLP and motivational interviewing skills in my client work.  I draw on these skills in supervision too.

What is supervision?

Supervision, for me, is very much a multi-dimensional forum.   Firstly, it’s a great place for you to bring any concerns or worries that you may have about the work you do with your clients.  Here you can feel supported.  Secondly, it’s a place where you can explore all aspects of your work, with insight, genuine curiosity and it offers clarity to benefit you and your clients. Thirdly, an integrative approach to supervision, offers you the opportunity to learn from an experienced outside observer.

As well as this, supervision is tailored individually to each therapist.  It offers whatever you need, whether that be support, constructive feedback/input, an educational input or insights and everything in between.  The relationship we have with our supervisor can be like the one we hold with our clients - it usually develops with time.  The supervision relationship with a trainee therapist can be pretty different (at times) to that required by a more experienced therapist.  So it can be quite fluid.

In supervision you can expect similar boundaries to exist, as with personal or group psychotherapy. Things like session time, fees and cancellations policy are the same, as is confidentiality (on my part), as well as the ethical and professional code of conduct.

My supervision service consists of:Support and mentoring

  • Help and advice when setting up in private practice
  • Constructive feedback on supervises practice and their work with clients
  • Assistance developing self-care
  • Support with personal and professional development
  • Support working towards accreditation

  • Help with marketing ideas

What forms of supervision do i offer:

I offer face-to-face supervision in my Nuneaton clinic.  I also offer online supervision through VSee or Skype.  Telephone supervision is also available.

How much do I charge?

Supervision is charged at £45-£50 per hour.  However, discounted rates may be available for those training to become counsellors or psychotherapists.  Contact me for more information and to check availability.

When can I be contacted?

You can contact me outside of supervision sessions for urgent support.  This may include things like concern for your clients safety or welfare, or if you need help drafting a letter or report.  Telephone and email support is available.

What availability do I have?

I have face-to-face appointments available from my Nuneaton clinic on a Friday evening, and Saturday and Sunday all day.  Telephone and online appointments are available on a Tuesday and Thursday.  Check out my online diary for availability.

Professional Memberships

I am a member of the British Association for Counsellor and Psychotherapists and abide by their professional code of conduct.

In supervision I believe it is important to feel comfortable working together and offer a free initial half hour informal session where we can both discuss expectations and requirements from each other in the supervision.
