Supervision details
About me and my practice I offer a supportive and creative supervisory space, a place where we can reflect, grow and flourish as professionals. I believe a collaborative relationship is at the heart of supervision to be able to explore the challenges, difficulties and the successes of working with your clients. I will listen to you, be honest in what I hear and see, as well as challenge and encourage you. The supervision model I use is called RESEED, it has been influenced by Carroll, Inskipp & Proctor Function's Model, and Hawkins & Shohet Seven-eyed Model. I use Gestalt Therapy as my core modality, with integrated aspects from other modalities where they sit along side Gestalt. Practice description I am qualified to work online and face to face, though at the moment only working online. We will work on the platform that works best for you and how you work with your clients. I'm happy to working using a blend of platforms. I offer a free 20 minute introduction meeting to see if we are comfortable to work together. Fees 60 minutes £50 and 90 minutes at £75 I offer reduced rates for trainees and other concessions may be available, please ask. Who I supervise I supervise therapists and trainees individually., offering either short or long term supervision. I also offer one or two sessions for urgent supervision if your supervisor is unavailable, for example due to illness. I also facilitate group supervision for trainee supervisees for an Online Training provider.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
