Supervision details
As a person-centred counsellor, I offer my supervises the same core conditions that I offer my clients. I believe a relationship is essential where trust becomes integral in our work together. This allows factors such as congruence, self-disclosure and challenge to be non- threatening or power driven. Sensitively done it allows you to acknowledge what might be your values and perceptions which may intrude in your work with clients. As students, I encourage all you're aspects of training, placement and personal issues that might impact on your personal wellbeing, for you to be comfortable to bring to supervision. Most importantly I believe my role is to encourage and provide a facilitative environment for growth.
