Supervision details
I have an Advanced Certificate in Clinical Supervision with additional emphasis in online and telephone working, and therefore have specialist training in the supervision of counsellors who work with clients online and by telephone, in addition to face to face working. I am consequently uniquely placed to provide you with supervision to meet your blended needs, in line with the BACP recommendation that it is 'ethically desirable to receive at least some elements of regular supervision by the same method of communication that is used with clients'.
I am a BACP accredited counsellor experienced in working with individual adults. I am an Integrative Relational Therapist with a special interest in Attachment-based Therapy - my core modality is based on Clarkson's 5 Relational Model and primarily incorporates person centred and psychodynamic theories. I have a PGdip in Attachment Based Therapy, a certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling, a foundation certificate in the Application of the Polyvagal Theory in counselling and a BICA foundation in fertility counselling.
My supervision approach is based on the Seven-Eyed Model of Supervision and is informed by the Integrative Developmental Model. I work in a relational way, drawing on elements from all my trainings and experience. I will work with you in a flexible, collaborative way, based on my own modality. I aim to offer a supportive, enriching environment in which to provide an overarching pair of eyes to help explore what is happening in your work for your clients and yourself. As a supervisor, I aim to provide you with a safe, non-judgemental environment that enables us to work together in a structured way, reflecting on your practice and supporting you in your work with clients. Using a Normative, Formative, Restorative approach ensures each session can be both supportive and challenging in a way that is flexible to meet your individual needs.

I offer sessions in time slots to meet your needs - 1 hour, 1.5 hours and 2 hours.
Minimum session time is 1 hour.
From time to time we all need urgent supervision support between sessions. Emergency telephone support of up to 20 minutes is not charged for.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
