My model for supervision is underpinned by my integrative counselling training. For me ‘Integrative’ means the theories I have learned that have had an impact or resonated with me personally are what flows through me as I practice therapy with clients. I would name these influences as humanistic, existential, attachment theory, psychodynamic and phenomenological. My most recent training (2016) as a psychosexual therapist uses the ‘Homeodynamic model’ (Laffy, 2007) and incorporates bodily sensations, thoughts, feelings and behaviours as an integral part of understanding the relational nature of the human system. In supervision I work in an integrative way as this is how I understand the fundamental principles of therapy. My supervision model thus far consists of five broad terms, like a tree with five big branches. They are reflective, inclusive, collaborative, informative, and authentic. If you want those things, plus fun, from your supervision or need more explanation send me a message. Thank-you
