Hello and welcome. I hope the information below helps you with exploring the site and finding the right supervisor for you. Please note that where covid19 restrictions impact on face to face working and premises, I am offering supervision through telephone or a video/audio/instant message platform.

As a counsellor I have 10 years of experience working in a number of statutory and charitable settings, with a wide range of clients and age groups, and with presentations including bereavement, family stresses, self injury/harm, suicidal ideation, and abuse. My therapeutic work has therefore helped people through trauma, overcome difficulties during/from childhood, manage stress brought on by sudden life changes, and in finding a more balanced mood.

As a newly trained supervisor (pending completion May 2021) I will offer a supportive and reflective space, drawn from this Level 7 Advanced Diploma Training and from my wider experience as a counsellor. Given that my qualification is not yet finalised, contracting the supervisory relationship in terms of its limits and proficiencies will be an important consideration for supervisees, and this will also be reflected in the costing of these sessions.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
