Supervision details

I qualified with a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision at the University of Southampton in 2007. Working in an Integrative Relationship Modality I offer supervision for trainee and experienced therapists. Experienced for over 20 years as a therapist, I have conducted most of my supervision individually but would be happy to facilitate a group of up to four supervisees. I have worked as a part-time lecturer teaching students counselling skills over the past ten years and am especially interested in encouraging and supporting trainees as they develop confidence and their own therapeutic style. My Integrative style includes Humanistic/Person Centred, Psychodynamic and CBT and my aim is to provide a safe place in which to explore client issues and any related issues and concerns. My experience has shown that a warm and accepting relationship, built up over time, facilitates and enables a supervisee to develop confidence in themselves and their work and attend to issues of self care, ethical and safe practice and to work as effectively as possible with each client. Please feel free to contact me by phone or email if you would like to discuss your needs or for any other information.

Key details

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a Counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the Counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
