Welcome to my supervision page.

My name is Dr Oby Osuchukwu. I am a qualified and experienced supervisor. I offer supervision to therapists/counsellors who are working within clinical and/or private settings. I have specific experience of supervising practitioners who offer CBT for Psychosis, Bipolar Disorder, Panic, Anxiety & Depression. I focus on their formulation, interventions and outcomes.

I have also experience in supervising therapists who work with clients in a relational psychodynamic way. I focus in their interpretative and transferential work with the materials that may emerge in the therapy

Types of supervision I offer

1) monthly individual supervision to counsellors (trainees and qualified) from all therapeutic orientations.

fees: £85 / 1.5hrs for qualified counsellors
         £45 / 1.5hrs for trainee counsellors
Reduced rate is available (special circumstance only)

The two main supervision models I use in my supervision with counsellors are:
       1) cyclical model for evaluating the clinical work and

       2) Hawkin's and Shohet's model for exploring the therapeutic processes involved in counselling and supervision.

My individual supervision with counsellors is, therefore, a collaborative and interactive process which provides counsellors with the space to discover and develop their own way of counselling and relating with their clients.

2) Monthly Group supervision

I also offer group supervision. Each of my group supervision is made up of 4 to 6 therapists/counsellors. This allows more time, better contribution and learning to each counsellor within the group.

Fees: £25/person for 2.5hrs (min 4 and max 6)

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
