Supervision details
I have an Advanced PG Diploma in Relational Supervision from Severn Talking Therapies led by Karl Gregory and Sheila McCarthy Dodd. My core model is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and I qualified with a PG Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CBT) pathway in 2011 from University of Wales, but I initially trained in Person Centred Counselling and I have been an Accredited Member of the BACP since 2016. Since qualification I have diversified and now call myself an Integrative Practitioner, and I can offer a very relational and collaborative approach for your core model. It is important to me to be able to offer supervision which has a spiritual element included when requested, and I am able to provide this in a way that works for the supervisee. I thought it might be useful if you are considering looking for a supervisor to let you know that I have followed additional training since I qualified and can work with the following client groups: Cruse training for Bereavement Employment Assistance Providers Couples Young People and Adolescents Telephone Counselling Skype Acceptance Commitment Therapy Private Practice Counselling CBT and Generic Counselling within organisations I run a thriving and busy private practice which I have built up from scratch and I work from home in South Gloucestershire in BS16. I now have spaces for supervisees, or if you want to find out more about me you can find testimonials from my previous private clients and supervisees, please follow the attached link to my website: www.cbtherapysolutionslimited.co.uk or call me on my mobile: 07952 215532 I have experience in working with students and with qualified counsellors in organisations and have provided individual and group supervision. I am currently providing supervision for Focus Counselling, Network Counselling, Priory Hospital, Carer Support Centre, Bristol City Council, and private supervisees. I am comfortable working with supervisees in private practice, within organisations or with student on placement and can offer individual supervision or group supervision for up to 4 supervises. My charges per hour are £55.00 per hour for individual supervision or £30.00 per hour per supervisee for up to a group of 4. Both fees are negotiable for students and counsellors on low income. I am happy to offer an initial meeting for free and I think it is important to make a connection before you decide if you would want to work with me, to see if I can offer you the support that you need. I look forward to hearing from you.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The Association of Christian Counsellors and Linked Professions is a professional body representing and setting standards for Christian counselling and care in the UK. The organisation is made up of various different membership categories, including Counsellor and Accredited, and requires all members working as counsellors to undertake Continuous Professional Development on a regular basis.
