I am a qualified supervisor and I have experience in supervising individuals and groups. I feel passionately that if people receive positive and safe supervision they make the best counsellors. However difficult the issues are that arise in the counselling practise, these can be worked out with supervision that empowers and challenges the counsellor. Supervision helps the counsellor to check their boundaries, keep up with new training and techniques, and ensures the child and adult protection protocol is being followed. This works best when enough has been done to encourage a good dynamic relationship between counsellor and supervisor, from the beginning.
My practice is integrative, supported by strong knowledge of psychodynamic and person centred theory.
