Supervision details
Hello, my name is Steven, I am currently undertaking a post graduate Level 7 diploma in Clinical Supervision at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute (SPTI). As part of this, I am offering free supervision to practitioners in the Peterborough and surrounding area looking for a reflective and supportive space to develop their work.
I offer warm, supportive and collaborative supervision using the Seven Eyed model of clinical supervision. This offers a holistic and integrative way of exploring client work. It considers the clients experience as well as the dynamics within the therapeutic relationship, the wider systemic context, and the impact of the work on the therapist.
I aim to provide a thoughtful and enriching supervisory experience that supports both professional and personal development. I am passionate about providing supervision that meets your needs, whether you are training and at the beginning of your career or an experienced professional. I believe supervision is an essential part of the counselling process as it protects and enhances work with clients and gives you, the supervisee, support and encouragement whilst helping you continually grow and develop your professional skills to work ethically and safely in your own individual style. Supervision is about discussing and exploring your clinical work in a trusting, safe and supportive space.
As a therapist I am BACP Accredited with over 12 years experience, I have worked in a variety of settings including a Category C all male prison, Sexual Assault referral Centre (SARC), Peterborough Rape Crisis (PRCCG), Young Peoples Counselling Service (YPCS), Leicester College and my own successful Private Practice.
My modality is Integrative drawing on Attachment, Psychodynamic and person centred theories and I work relationally.
Please do get in touch for an informal chat to see if what I can offer you suits your needs.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
