Hi my name is Michelle and I have been working as a counsellor/psychotherapist since 2011 and supervisor since 2019.

My professional journey has taken me on a long and rich path of experience with a range of diverse and inspiring clients of all ages.

In 2012 I had the opportunity to setup an in-house counselling service which provides counselling for teenagers and young adults up to the age of eighteen years. I have worked with many young people over the years and am able to support a variety of issues using different therapeutic  approaches such as talk therapy,CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) and Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/Learning.

I run a student placement at the school where I counsel, offering counsellors in training the opportunity to gain some valuable experience in a school environment. As a supervisor I provide monthly/fortnightly supervision and on-going CPD/workshops and training.  I also run a private practice. www.listeningroomcounsellingservice.com for more info.

Supervision has been an important part of my development and I am passionate about being able to access, supportive, restorative, explorative and growth full supervision, the approach underpins my supervision practice. I am qualified and completed a Level 6 CPCAB certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision, I am an accredited member of the BACP, I am also offer supervision in the field of equine assisted counselling and learning: Supervision is £40 per hour.

I have been passionate about horses for as long as I can remember and they have always featured in my life one way or another. The Equine Assisted Psychotherapy/Learning approach brings together a unique collaboration between horse and human, this approach can work well with individuals who find room based or human interactions difficult.

I also run weekly equine assisted learning therapy sessions/groups or individual sessions for all ages.
