Selina Turkington MBACP (Accred). Dip. Counselling & Dip. CBT Skills & Theory

I am a BACP accredited integrative practitioner, qualified in the use of psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT modalities. I can therefore offer supervision to students or qualified counsellors who are studying or trained in any one of these or who are trained integratively. I have taught counselling at level 4 at Southeastern Regional College and so I am familiar with the needs of students and able to support the ongoing learning of counsellors beyond practitioner training.

I recognise the importance of the counsellor/supervisee relationship and therefore prefer to meet with potential supervisees on a trial basis before either party commits to ongoing work. This gives us both the opportunity to see how we get along. My goal is to provide a safe space for supervisees to share their work and the impact it has on them. I see my role as assisting in their learning and personal development in a practical and supportive manner.

Supervision takes place at accommodation in the East Belfast/Holywood area where there is easy parking and access for those who have mobility difficulties.

Costs: I charge £40 per fifty minute session and £75 per ninety minute session.

If you would like to contact me about your supervision needs please email or text me.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
