Augene Nanning MBACP (Accred)
I provide confidential, face-to-face, one-to-one and group supervision to counsellors. My experience -- in charities and private practice -- is wide ranging. Supervisees subscribe to a variety of different models, are at different stages of their counselling development (trainees, newly accredited, experienced) and work with different age groups (children, young people and adults).
Trained in integrative supervision (Minster Centre), I am person-centred in practice, with a strong dose of creativity and some influence from a psychodynamic approach.
In supervision, I work in a collaborative and creative way, supporting counsellors to improve and develop their skills and abilities within their therapeutic relationship with their clients. I believe that we all learn by example, and aim to create a welcoming, non-judgmental and confidential space. As your supervisor, I hope you will feel respected, safe and confident to bring to our sessions all manner of issues about your counselling work, including challenges, concerns and successes.
Supervision can be both exciting and challenging as you consider your client and your own work from different perspectives. I will support you to gain greater insight into your clients' lives as you explore and reflect on your counselling style and relationship with your client.
