I am a BACP Accredited & Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist/ Supervisor

Supervision offers a safe space for you to reflect on and explore issues that arise from your work as a therapist, whilst working or training, ethically and therapeutically with clients. Supervision also enables you to be supported and gain clarity for the benefit of yourself and your clients or colleagues. In supervision areas for further development and training can be identified for Continuing Professional Development.

I provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists (accredited and working towards accreditation) and those therapists in training. For therapists working towards accreditation I can draw on my experience as a therapist and lecturer to supervise you through the process of writing your accreditation application.

I also supervise nurses and other healthcare professionals, teachers, and students in training.

In supervision I use my skills in facilitating the process of reflection to enable you to explore your work with clients. My supervisees complete their own supervision notes which are then emailed to me for any additional comment as required.

Sessions are available: I work online using zoom, skype or facetime and also by phone.

About me.
I currently practice as a counsellor/ psychotherapist/ supervisor in private practice. I have experience of working as a counsellor in a university support service. I also work as a clinical supervisor in another university with students training to be healthcare practitioners. Prior to this I worked as a nurse for many years in mental health and then oncology, HIV, Palliative care. During this time I completed mentoring and supervision training then went on to supervise nurses through the use of the reflective process. I then taught reflective practice, counselling skills, communication, therapeutic relationship on undergraduate & postgraduate healthcare degrees. My psychotherapy training was psychodynamic and I have furthered this with CBT & Mindfulness.
