Supervision details

I am a BACP Accredited & Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist and experienced supervisor. Supervision offers a safe space for you to reflect on and explore issues that arise from your work as a therapist, whilst working or training, ethically and therapeutically with clients. Supervision also enables you to be supported and gain clarity for the benefit of yourself and your clients or colleagues. In supervision areas for further development and training can be identified for Continuing Professional Development. I provide supervision to counsellors and psychotherapists (accredited and working towards accreditation) and those therapists in training. For therapists working towards accreditation I can draw on my experience as a therapist and lecturer to supervise you through the process of writing your accreditation application. I also supervise nurses and other healthcare professionals, teachers, and students in training. In supervision I use my skills in facilitating the process of reflection to enable you to explore your work with clients. My supervisees complete their own supervision notes which are then emailed to me for any additional comment as required. Sessions are available: I offer face to face, online using doxy.me, and also by phone. About me. BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
