Supervision Profile

I am BACP registered and accredited and hold honours degrees in both counselling and in education (both 2:1 degrees).  I design and teach counselling courses for Kent Adult Education and have experience of teaching up to and including Diploma level.  I have taught for over 25 years and have been in management in this field.  I have a Diploma in Counselling Supervision.

My approach to supervision is one of equal, shared cooperation, looking together at the best ways of helping clients move forward, ethically.  I aim to provide a safe space for reflection and challenge. I see feedback as a 2-way process- me providing feedback to you on your work with clients and you providing feedback to me on the helpfulness of my supervision style.  I aim to support you in developing your unique counselling style.

Please read my full counselling profile, and feel free to email or phone for more information. If you phone, please leave a message with your number and I will get back to you as I am rarely able to answer my phone directly.  I offer the first session free, to see if we are able to work well together.  After this I charge £45 for a 50 minute session.  I look forward to hearing from you.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
