Supervision details

I am a Counselling Psychologist accredited by the BPS and certified by the HCPC, with over a decade of clinical experience providing counselling for a range of presentations and supervision to counsellors, counselling psychologists and trainees, as well as, to other supervisors.

I completed the BPS Supervision Skills training that qualifies me for the Register of Applied Psychology Practice Supervisors and continue to be clinically supervised by its founder, Dr Linda Charles.

First and foremost I work relationally, meaning that I utilise the relationship between myself and others to enhance self-awareness and elicit growth. I incorporate this foundation into all modalities and am most familiar with psychodynamic, person-centred and CBT approaches.

HCPC
Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)

The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.

They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.

Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
