I see the purpose of supervision as ensuring the welfare of the client and the development of the supervisee.
My aim in supervision is to establish a working alliance based on Rogerian principles of
non-judgemental acceptance, empathy, congruance and respect. I seek to provide a
facilitative environment in which the supervisee will feel safe to explore their concerns,
their weaknesses, identify their strengths and are able to receive challenge.
I see clinical supervision as offering a contracted forum in which formative educational
