Supervisor Natasha Sephton, HCPC Registered
My focus is to support my supervisees in their role as therapist or counsellor, offering a contained space to creatively reflect on their practice. As a therapist and a supervisor, I am informed by creative approaches, psycho-dynamic and humanist perspectives, with a particular interest in interpersonal neuro-psychology.
My commitment to my supervisees is to foster their professional development, encourage skill growth and theoretical knowledge. I give opportunity to focus on clinical and practice issues, and respond to business, or organisational issues as they arise.
I hold space for the therapist’s personal feelings and responses to client work and sign post onto personal therapy if required. Reflecting on how we resource ourselves as practitioners is a fundamental to my approach. I personally view supervision as a fulfilling and enhancing experience and value its role in my professional development. Witnessing, and contributing to the ongoing growth of my supervisees is an equally rewarding experience.
Qualifying with a diploma (London Centre for Psychodrama) in 2014, I offer creative approaches to supervision, allowing the supervisee to explore their presenting issue in such a way that fosters self-led reflection. Working in this way benefits us by slowing down our thinking, and engages right brain processing, illuminating new perspectives on stuck areas with clients. My approach to supervision is a combination of facilitative, experiential and directive styles.
I offer nature-based supervision in various locations in Derbyshire, one-to-one as well as for groups. Applications for joining the closed nature-based supervision group starting in April 2019 is now open.
I am also an approved Lifespan Integration supervisor offering supervision to trained LI therapists in the LI modality.
For further information about 1:1, or group supervision, online, at my venue in Borrowash, or outdoors, please contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org
