I work to a high standard of professional ethics (UKCP and SPTI), I undertake personal therapy and clinical supervision to ensure professional standards.

Training, qualifications & experience
My formal qualifications include:

  • BA(Hons)in Creative Expressive Therapies
  • Post Graduate Foundation in Integrative Psychotherapy
  •   Post Graduate Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy
  •   Post Graduate Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy
  •   Msc Integrative Psychotherapy
  • Diploma in Supervision

I have experience working in public sector and charitable organisations and have a background within mental health and social care settings. I currently work within both private practice and an IAPT NHS commissioned service.  I practice from an Integrative Psychotherapeutic stance, which involves drawing together different psychotherapeutic approaches based on core principles. These core principles are that the client-therapist relationship is an essential aspect of healing and that our development as children affects how we are now. If aspects of us are not supported as children they do not fully develop and cannot integrate seamlessly into our personality. The approach that I practice is a developmental-relational approach that uses further integration of Psychodynamic and Humanistic Psychology.

Aims and Model of Supervision

My model of supervision is informed by Hawkins and Shohet supervision frame.  The aims of supervision are many and include: the supervisee increasing their self-awareness; to develop the skills of self reflection; to explore the part the therapist plays in the therapy; to ensure ethical practice is maintained;to deepen the therapists understanding of the client’s phenomenology; to look at blocks in the therapists empathy; to explore theory and practice; to learn missing information; to be referred to resources;to explore parallel processes.

Supervision is charged at an hourly fixed fee of £55.00
