Providing supervision is the highlight of my work as I am energized and motivated by the work.  Together with a clinician I love to dig deep into what is happening out of our awareness in the therapeutic setting and develop an understanding that not only assists the clients but teaches us all something too.  I provide support but I challenge the clinician too to bring their problems to the meetings.  I was once told that no one learns anything by talking about what we think went well, rather our education is in the mistakes, errors and misjudgments.  I help us find those mistakes or confusions so that we can assist the work with the client to move past whatever may be stuck.
