I am an experienced supervisor, I enjoy working with students and helping them to find their way forward through what can be a very challenging and difficult profession, where support, encouragement and guidance can play a huge part in their developemnt and confidence in being a counsellor. I also enjoy working with experienced counsellors and exploring the challenges that they face in their work, and helping them to explore a way that they can best overcome them and move the therapeutic process forward. I trained as a supervisor in Strathclyde University in 2011. I am a person centred counsellor and an EMDR therapist and I run my own private practice for clients and supervisees. I like to work as a person centred supervisor. Working with what my supervisee chooses to bring to supervision. I enjoy building a relationship with my supervisee, so that trust and openness becomes an important part of our sessions together. Throughout my work I try to be empathic, congruent and non-judgemental. I work according to the BACP ethical guidelines.
