Cathy Macbeth, MBACP, Adv.Dip. Counselling, Supervisor
During the Coronavirus pandemic and beyond, supervision is available online using Zoom or FaceTime, or by telephone.
I am very aware that the pandemic has affected many counsellors both professionally and personally, and supervision is essential to support you in whatever it is you're having to deal with.
I have a Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling, ensuring that your supervision covers all your supervision needs.
Supervision is such a valuable ingredient in your counselling work, and finding the right supervisor can make all the difference to how you feel about your work.
I take pride in establishing a warm rapport and respect with supervisees, aiming to make your supervision sessions validating, rewarding and inspiring.
I offer supervision to both trainees and qualified counsellors at different stages in their career, which would normally be face to face, but during the pandemic will be online using Zoom or FaceTime, or by telephone.
To make sure that you get what you want and need from supervision, I offer a free initial chat (by phone or FaceTime call), when we can discuss your individual supervision needs.
As an integrative counsellor, I am comfortable to link my knowledge and experience of CBT, Person-Centred, TA, Solution-Focussed, Gestalt, and creative approaches such as mindfulness and grounding, miniature model work, drawing and writing, among others.
I have been working as a counsellor since 2006, and in 2011 I set up my private practice in Skelmersdale, which continues to be busy and rewarding - and I have learned a lot over the years about managing my own business.
I have a Certificate in Clinical Supervision and advanced supervision training in Hawkins and Shohet's 7-Eyed Process Model of Supervision.
Appointments are available from Tuesdays-Fridays from 10am till 5pm (please note that I do not have evening appointments).
Fees are £45 per hour or £60 per 90 minute session (for counselling trainees the fee is £40 per hour or £55 per 90 minutes)
