Clinical Supervision
I offer supervision to other practitioners including psychotherapists and counsellors as part of my practice either individually or in small groups. This provides therapists a place to discuss ethical issues, own well being as a therapists, professional practice issues and a chance to reflect upon the therapeutic alliance with current case load.
Confidentiality & Safety
Counselling/Psychotherapy and Supervision are confidential. I will not pass on any information concerning you or the issues discussed to anyone outside of the counselling relationship except in exceptional situation. If this were the case I would hope to discuss the situation with you before deciding to take any further action. I abide by the data protection legislation and am registered with the Information Commissioners Office and have my own Indemnity Insurance.
Ethical Framework
I abide by British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, and their Professional Conduct Procedure. I am a member of the UK EMDR Association
As a BACP psychotherapist, EMDR practitioner and Clinical Supervisor I am in supervision, which is a form of consultative support. I must therefore discuss our work with at least one other person. My supervisor is also bound by rules of confidentiality so in practice there will not be a breach of trust.
