I am a fully qualified therapeutic practitioner & supervisor & a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) & I abide by their code of ethics. My training at Leeds Metropolitan University is accredited by BACP.

My qualifications:
Diploma HE Therapeutic Counselling
Cert. Clinical Supervision
Cert. HE Interpersonal & Counselling Skillls
Core Concepts Transactional Analysis
Cert. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Cert. Psychophysiology of Trauma
Cert. Time-limited Attachment-Informed Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy
Cert. Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
Cert. Mental Health Issues
Cert. Couple Counselling.
I have a wealth of experience working in private practice & within the PCT (Primary Care Trust) taking GP referrals.

I provide a space for supervisees to reflect upon the content and process of their work to enable further development of understanding and skills within the work.

I aim to ensure that as a person, and as a worker, the supervisee is not left to carry unnecessarily, difficulties, problems and projections alone, and I provide an opportunity to explore and express personal distress, transference or counter-transference, that may be brought up by the work.

I aim to validate and support the supervisee, both as a person and as a worker, by providing an open and supportive relationship; essential for personal and professional development.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
