I have been an integrated practitioner since 1997 and have been working as a supervisor since 2008. I am Senior Accredited Supervisor of Individuals (MBACP Snr.Accred.). In addition to working with therapists who self-refer I have also work as a supervisor for some of the counsellors at the One To One Project and formerly at Mr Bees in King's Lynn.

I have trained to be a supervisor at the University of Derby (Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Supervision). Some of my philosophy on the role of the supervisor and the function of supervision has been published in Therapy Today (2009), September, pp.28-30, and in Therapy Today (2010), June, pp.28-31. I want part of my work as a supervisor to be that of encouraging practitioners to develop through interaction and self-discovery. I see the functions of a supervisor as being those of: supporting, consulting, modelling, advising and instructing, monitoring and evaluating, promoting professional growth.

I also offer counsellor/psychotherapist supervision via Skype.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
