Supervisor Clare James UKCP Psychotherapist. MSc In Integrative Psychotherapy. EMDR
I undertook a year's course in clinical supervision in 2004 at Metanoia Institute. I offer supervision to a variety of supervisees from various health related and teaching disciplines and counsellors. I believe that supervision is a forum for both clinical support for the supervisee and a way of gaining a deeper knowledge and insight into one's work. The supervisory relationship also offers a space to explore broader professional and ethical issues that arise when working with people who are experiencing psychological, physical and relational problems. I believe that supervision needs to fit the individual developmental and learning needs of each supervisee, and therefore I offer supervision based upon Integrative training and my ongoing commitment to my own professional development and learning needs. I have had many different kinds of supervision over the past 15 years and I bring that experience to my present supervisory work.
