Sally Forster, UKCP Reg, Dip Psych, Dip Supervision
Supervision is an invaluable opportunity to examine your
response to your work as a Counsellor or Psychotherapist. Much of what
we do as practitioners is either intuitive or created out of the
relationship between therapist and client. As a supervisor I aim to
provide a safe space where you as practitioner can explore anything and
everything that happens in a session or in a response to a session.
My philosophy of therapeutic change is based on Formative Psychology, the work of Stanley Keleman. I pay particular attention to the therapist's bodied experience in the room and the feelings that are intuited or fantasised, as this is often important information about what is happening in the therapeutic process. I have a deep respect for all schools of psychotherapy and my interest in research and neuroscience provides a solid foundation for supervision whatever the core model of the practitioner.
