Gill Whalley; Accredited Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Supervisor. MBACP
I trained as a supervisor at Temenos in Sheffield and now have a lot of experience supervising counsellors in a range of contexts, both on a one to one basis, as well as offering group supervision within organisations. As a supervisor in private practice, my experience has also been extended through supervising counsellors and practitioners who use a range of therapeutic models and approaches and who work in very different contexts. This includes practitioners working in a range of statutory and voluntary agencies in the community, working for the NHS and working with children and young people. My own practice is relational and humanistic but I enjoy working with counsellors using a range of models and approaches and working in different settings.
As I have a background in which I was the programme manager of a B.A and Diploma course in counselling I have wide experience of working with trainee Counsellors as well as those with more experience. I am currently still teaching on counselling courses with the Open university and I have a lot of experience working and supporting the development of trainee counsellors. I believe Supervision is a supportive and collaborative process which enables practitioners to reflect and develop in order to become the best Counsellor they can be for their clients.
My usual supervision charges are £60 for an hour and a half but I offer a special rate for trainees.
Do contact me if you would like to discuss your own or your organisation's supervision needs.
