MY SUPERVISION PRACTICE
My supervision practice is grounded in the person-centred and experiential. This approach has developed over time into a wide-ranging approach that includes different humanistic perspectives. My supervision practice has also developed over time to enable me to offer supervision across this wide range.
I see supervision as a unique co-created and collaborative relationship between myself and my supervisee.
The supervision relationship is central to the work in supervision and the therapeutic conditions of congruence, genuine acceptance, and empathy that are the basis of therapeutic work are as important in the supervision relationship.
The supervision relationship grounded in these attitudes and values will create the safe and trusting space for supervisees to examine all aspects of their therapeutic practices, and how the therapeutic work impacts of them.
The wellbeing of the supervisee is at the heart of supervision work and creating a space to renew and recharge energies which can at times be drained by the therapeutic work is central to supervision.
