Clinical supervision, also called clinical consultancy, is a complex relationship between supervisor, therapist and the client.

I value the work with my own supervisors so highly that, when I felt that I had enough practice experience to consider offering consultancy to others, I knew that formal training would give me the best chance to offer a good service.

Training gave me the tools to understand and work with the many different processes that occur in consultancy and to discover how best to use the various approaches.

As a deep believer in the innate wisdom we all carry, the consultancy I provide builds on that wisdom, leading to empowering and encouraging rather than criticising and undermining.  Your theoretical orientation doesn't have to come first.  It's the understanding you gain for yourself as a therapist that takes first place.

As in my own therapy practice, humour definitely has a place in the room. Supervision needs to be fun; our work is hard enough as it is!

If you would like to have a chat about working together, please give me a call on 07732 532 891.
