Hello I am David Parry and a BPS  and HPC registered Counselling Psychologist with over eight years experience of being a supervisor. I have extensive experience of working psychotherapeutically with people in the NHS, for charitable organisations and in private practice. I can offer you appointment times (including evenings and weekends) to suit your availability and a sliding scale for your fees.
I offer a safe and confidential space where you can discuss your client work and any professional/training concerns you have.
My practice is within relatively easy travelling distance of Balham, Streatham, Tooting, Colliers Wood, Norbury, Croydon, Crystal Palace, Wimbledon, Thornton Heath, Carshalton and Sutton.

During my career as a psychotherapist-counsellor I have worked with individuals and couples from diverse cultural backgrounds and from the ages of 13y to 80y. I have also worked with people who have physical and/or sensory disabilities; and as a group facilitator for MIND with men and women who are experiencing anxiety and depression. I also have extensive experience of working psychotherapeutically with people who have been diagnosed or labelled with:
personality disorder; OCD, DID and PTSD (related to, for example, road traffic incidents, being attacked, and being in abusive relationships).

My approach to being your supervisor  is to focus upon your needs and what you hope to achieve and experience from being in supervision with me.

In this endeavour I will share with you my pluralistic interest in psychotherapy and counselling which includes: existential-phenomenological; humanistic; psychodynamic; CBT; positive psychology; mindfulness; philosophy and the arts. It also includes  my own personal experience as a practising therapist and supervisor of other therapist's client work; and my own on-going and vast experience of being a client engaged in my own personal therapy (both group and individual) and being supervised as an individual and in groups; and my own biographical experience  of existing in this particular time and cultures.

I will share with you my experience of working for organisations and agencies and how to deal with complaints.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
