About me

Hello, I'm Jo, I am an experienced and accredited counsellor offering short or longer-term counselling for individuals, 18 years and over.

I have faced many life challenges including anxiety, depression and low self-esteem. After therapy which led to my recovery, I have been left with a passion to help others in a similar way.

You may benefit from working with me if you are feeling stuck, fed up or frustrated with your current situation or lifestyle. Maybe you just feel unhappy and do not understand why. Whatever it is that is troubling you I aim to provide you with the confidential safe space to explore all your different thoughts and feelings that are unique to you.

My approach is warm and friendly with the aim to help and accept you where you are right now. I aim to listen without judgement helping you to make the changes that you want. The counselling room is your space to decide with my help, what is best for you.  Talking can be the first step in feeling better about your issues, a sense of unburdening yourself and knowing you are not alone with these difficulties.

Counselling can provide liberation from

  • Low self-esteem
  • Self-doubt
  • Feeling uncomfortable or uneasy in your body
  • People pleasing and not being able to say no
  • Difficult relationships
  • Fear, anxiety, and depression
  • Not feeling 'good enough'
  • Getting stuck in old patterns of behaviour
  • Critical 'self-talk'
  • Negativity
  • Lack of confidence

If you feel ready to take the first step, please send me an e-mail so we can discuss any concerns or to arrange the first appointment.
