About me

Face to Face therapy is available in our Ground floor Therapy room we can also use the private gardens or summer house if preferred.

Online & telephone bookings are a useful alternative to in person appointments.

Counselling can help you to see things more clearly, make changes and move forward.

How can I help you to Create your own positive change?

I understand it can feel rather daunting reaching out for help, perhaps you have mixed emotions about it, this is absolutely normal and I hope to put you at your ease as quickly as possible.

Therapy can be helpful for a wide range of issues, we work together at your pace for as many sessions as you need.

If you are looking to think and feel happier, you can take the first step by contacting me to Book your Initial Consultation.

In the initial consultation you can ask questions and I can explain how simple it can be to move forward and how therapy works.

I offer a flexible support service to help you as an individual, with this in mind I am available for Counselling sessions during extended hours, early mornings and evenings.

You may find Counselling helpful if any of the following apply to you:

Emotional overwhelm-Anxiety/stress/Anger/ low mood/Depression Guilt or shame. You find yourself reacting to certain situations (which may lead to impulsive behaviours that you later regret).

Unhealthy relationships with self and others- Self critical or destructive thoughts and behaviours. Maybe you are drawn to the same type of partner over and over, even though your emotional needs are not met in these relationships.

Addictive behaviour-You feel stuck in habitual patterns or addictive behaviours that you can’t seem to change.

You struggle to say no- wanting to keep the peace or with the thought of others disliking you.

low self- esteem or confidence- which holds you back from fulfilling your potential

Insomnia or restless sleep- This can effect our physical and mental health

Overthinking or worrying- This is mentally exhausting and creates anxiety

Obsessional thoughts- Thoughts effect our feelings and behaviour.

Peak performance- Helping you create positive coping strategies and habits

I work from my own Private Practice in Hutton, Weston Super Mare. We have a spacious, comfortable and accessible therapy room, with beautiful views over the countryside. There are many proven therapeutic benefits from spending time in Nature and so I hope that you will enjoy the journey to and from your sessions nearly as much as the sessions themselves

I regularly update my knowledge of therapeutic practice and so strive to offer you the best service possible. Helping you to achieve your desired results in a relatively short time frame.

Time

Therapy sessions are generally 60 minutes.

Counselling with the addition of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy 90 minutes

You are never rushed out of the door, if you feel that your personal circumstances require a longer appointment, this can be catered for with prior notice.

Ongoing support While you are a client you will receive ongoing support in between sessions if needed, via text/phone/email.

I pride myself at the level of service and support that I offer my clients, It is my belief that if you provide someone with the environment and support that they need to grow then they will flourish.

Further information

I offer flexible appointments which include early mornings and evenings.

I have always been passionate about helping people in a way that builds their confidence and self-esteem, supporting people to develop healthy coping strategies, resilience and independence.

Over the last 28 years, I have worked with different organisations and with hundreds of individuals. I have added Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to my skill set, a therapeutic technique which has a solid basis in science and incorporates the latest research.

It is generally recognised that the therapeutic relationship between client and practitioner is one of the strongest indicators of achieving positive change for the client. Both parties have equal input, I bring knowledge, expertise and experience as a therapist, you bring your knowledge, expertise and experience of being You. I look to create a caring and accepting environment where we can work together to achieve your aims of therapy.

I continue to professionally develop in several ways, by endless reading, attending courses and workshops, undertaking additional qualifications, regular supervision, peer support and open and honest self-reflection. These practice's help to ensure that I remain competent, compassionate and able to work to the highest possible standards.
