About me

I am a professionally qualified Counsellor, Psychotherapist and Coach.  I provide long-term Psychotherapy and Counselling and also short-term solution - focused therapy, CBT and life/career coaching. I work with clients in a confidential and safe environment in which they can express, share and explore difficulties and anxieties relating to their personal, relationship or working life. I work predominantly in the 'here and now' and use a number of approaches to help clients analyse problems and work out how to pursue goals and manage the process of change.

I am also a Supervisor offering individual supervision which can include using creative approaches to the work.

Training, qualifications & experience

I have a BA (Nottingham University) and an MA in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling (Middlesex University). I have also trained to work using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and I have a certified coaching qualification (a Certificate in Neuro-Linguistic Programming).

I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapists (UKCP) and I am supervised in accordance with it's regulations.

I have been practising for nearly 20 years during which time, as well as having my own practice, I have worked in the voluntary sector providing Psychotherapy and Counselling to clients, the majority of whom were referred through the NHS.

I have a legal and business background having worked in the City for 16 years before training as a psychotherapist and therefore have some understanding of how the demands of work and careers can impact on personal lives and relationships.
