About me
As an Integrative Psychosynthesis psychotherapist and counsellor, my aim is not only to support you through any difficulties you are experiencing now but also to help you find a meaningful way forward in your life.
I'd like us to arrange an initial meeting to talk about what you're looking for and make sure we feel comfortable about working together. I aim to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgemental way to work through whatever may be troubling you - this may include anxiety, depression, stress, loss, grieving, or things that are harder to name, like feeling lost in life, seeking meaning or tapping hidden creativity. We can work for shorter or longer periods, as seems appropriate.
Based in East London, I am experienced in working across a broad range of concerns and cultural backgrounds.
I am a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), working to their professional and ethical standards.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold Psychotherapy and Counselling Diplomas from Re-Vision, the Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis (www.re-vision.org.uk).
I have extensive experience working for MIND in East London and with private clients from a broad range of backgrounds. I manage an NHS bereavement service in London and for 6 years until 2021 was Director of Counselling at ELMS (East London Mental Health Support) in Waltham Forest, with clinical and supervision responsibilities at each service.
I have further experience supporting victims of violence and family carers, working with a wide variety of issues for over 10 years.
I hold a diploma in counselling/psychotherapy supervision and supervise counsellors/therapists in NHS and not-for-profit services as well as providing private supervision on request.
I am able to offer both long- and short-term work according to your needs.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

For psychotherapy/counselling, my fees are £55-65 per 50-minute session, with an introductory session for £30 to help you decide if you're happy to work with me.
For supervision, my fees are £55-65 per one-hour session, with an introductory session for £30.
A limited number of discounted sessions are available for unwaged, students and keyworkers.
