About me

Counselling and Psychotherapy with highly experienced and kind UKCP registered psychotherapeutic counsellor in central Lewes clinic. I aim to create a safe and respectful space where difficult feelings can be held and managed successfully. You may feel overwhelmed, depressed or lacking in confidence. You may feel engulfed by powerful feelings such as fear, anger or sadness. You may be facing a difficult relationship decision. You may be facing a personal crisis or difficulty.Together will we find your strengths and options to feel more whole, or move forward. I aim to work alongside you in whatever you feel you need support with.

My approach is relational: combining humanistic core values with Psychodynamic thinking about the influence of early experiences. I emphasise the value of a trusting therapeutic relationship in promoting personal growth and empowerment. I offer a safe and confidential space to explore your feelings with somebody who will not judge you. I offer you the opportunity to be listened to respectfully and to feel understood and accepted. I will aim to help you move towards feeling more confident and develop vitality in the here and now rather than being bound by your past. I will support you to feel safe to explore difficult feelings at your own pace.

Creative Arts
Sometimes words are not enough and therefore I also offer an creative arts-based practice for clients who wish to use this approach. By representing feelings symbolically and metaphorically we can explore areas that we may not feel able to talk about. This can maximise the possibility of change and healing. You do not need to be good at art! I offer a variety of mediums include symbolic sand tray work, paint, pastels and clay.
