About me

I am MBACP accredited, UKRCP Registered Independent Counsellor. I obtained my humanistic counselling diploma in 2001, and have since completed training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the Treatment of Trauma (Sensorimotor Psychotherapy Institute, USA). I have extensive experience of working with diverse clinical issues including: recovery from childhood sexual abuse and/or sexual violation in adulthood, relationship problems, anxiety, eating distress, addiction, stress, psychological trauma, depression, self injury, mental health issues & low self esteem/worth.

Professional Development & Supervision
I am committed to my professional development and as such I attend regular clinical supervision to support my client work. I also attend workshops, trainings and conferences on a regular basis. My clinical approach is integrative, which means that I adapt my approach to support the changing needs of each individual.

Individual Counselling
The relationship between counsellor and client is of paramount importance, for this reason I aim to provide a trusting, supportive relationship in which healing can occur.
Each session lasts for 50 minutes and are usually once a week. My fee is £42 per session.

Couples Counselling
I am a qualified couple counsellor working with many issues within relationships.
Each session lasts for 1 hour and are usually once a week. My fee is £52 per session.

Supervision
I am a qualified clinical supervisor and have experience in both individual and group supervision.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

  • Indivdual Supervision £60 per hour £70 hour 1.5 hours.

I have worked as a counsellor within a voluntary organisation (rape crisis) for 10 years full-time.


I have extensive experience of planning and running groups. I have facilitated two groups of telephone help-line volunteers providing supervision, support and training. . I also ran the training and selection process for recruiting new telephone helpline volunteers.

I have provided both individual  and group supervision for a minimum of 9 years
