About me
I have been working as a therapist since 1996. I work in an integrative way; attending to the multiple aspects of self: emotions, intellect, somatic (body-physical), social, creative, and when relevant spiritual aspects of self. I specialize in working with trauma (PTSD), complex trauma (childhood and developmental trauma), including anxiety and depression and relational issues.
I work with individual adults as well as couples. When working with couples I work from an EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) model, which is based on Sue Johnson's research/model.
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, Registered Psychotherapist, Accredited EMDR Consultant & Supervisor, Registered Euro Psychologist, and Accredited EFT Couples Therapist.
My basic orientation is Transpersonal and Integrative.

I am an EMDR supervisor and consultant to various NHS Trusts since 2006.
I have been in private practice since 1996 and in Brighton & Hove since 2000.
I am a Registered Counselling Psychologist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist, Associate Fellow and Qualified supervisor with the BPS (British Psychological Society)
I am an Accredited EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy) Couples therapist with ICEEFT (International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy) and BEFTC (British Emotionally Focused Therapy Centre).
I am an Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy)
Registered EuroPsy Psychologist with EFPA (European Federation of Psychologists' Associations).

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
