About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor and have been practising since 2003.
I have experience of working in private practice, the NHS and for the voluntary sector as a psychotherapist and supervisor. I am currently a training supervisor for Re-Vision and a clinical supervisor for Suffolk Rape Crisis.
I have worked in the voluntary sector for many years in a variety of roles, including as a Senior Psychotherapist for Respond and previously as Director of the Maya Centre, which is a counselling centre for women in Islington.
I offer counselling, psychotherapy and supervision in Suffolk in Wenhaston and Woodbridge (Tuesday pm only). I am also able to work online or on the phone.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a Diploma in Integrative Psychosynthesis Counselling from Re-Vision Centre for Integrative Psychosynthesis (2004) and an Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (2008) also from Re-Vision. I also have a Supervision Diploma from Re-Vision (2014).
I have gained my experience in a variety of settings including my own private practice and various voluntary organisations. I used to work in the NHS and until 2014 worked at Respond as a senior psychotherapist for people with learning disabilities.
I provide supervision to other counsellors and psychotherapists.
I am a member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy and adhere to their framework of ethics and professional conduct.
I have worked with people from a wide range of backgrounds and who have come to therapy with very varied problems and issues. I have particular experience in working with eating disorders and addictions and people who have been sexually abused.

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information
I work with people for short periods (6-12 weeks) and over a longer time as well (on average 2 years). Sessions can be once or twice a week and last for 50 minutes.
