About me

You may be clear about what you work on or you may just have a sense that all is not as you’d like to be. Whatever has brought you to be looking for a therapist, I can offer you a safe space and relationship to explore and understand where you are, have been and would like to be.

Bringing our own individual strengths and humanity I hope we will be able to develop a relationship which will support you to grow and heal.

I am a trained and experienced Integrative-Relational Counsellor, which means I draw on different counselling theories and current research to help you. I am  accredited with the BACP and am a senior accredited supervisor.  I work with adults on an individual basis or with couples seeking relationship counselling.  I have experience and training in working with a range of individuals including those from marginalised groups.

I offer a free 15 minute online introductory consultation.

My career background has centred around working with people in a number of roles; Human Resources professional, Organisational Wellbeing and Equalities Adviser, Trainer, Mediator and Coach. My work is now focussed on being a counsellor, supervisor and counselling trainer.

If you’d like to find out more, then get in touch to arrange an introductory Zoom call.

Fees for individuals are £65 and £80 for couples

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a senior accredited member of the BACP with many years post-qualification experience as a counsellor and supervisor of groups and individuals. I work with individuals and couples.

I have additional training in working with people in marginalised and minority groups.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
