About me

I am a qualified Psychotherapist and Counsellor in Victoria, Central London, registered with the BACP, with over twenty years experience. After discussion with you, I use different approaches to help with your concerns such as anxiety, depression, panic attacks, low self esteem, family or relationship issues, anger, work issues, bereavement, or other problems. I offer a concession of a free initial session.

This can include helping you to :

  • look at how your past experiences affect your current  relationships, feelings and behaviour;
  • identify and change negative thoughts about yourself; contact and explore difficult feelings; and become aware of more aspects of yourself and of your potential.

Counselling and Psychotherapy offer a safe, supportive way of looking at personal issues.

I believe that we are each a unique and complex expression of life, and I will work with you to help you express more of your reality.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy(CCPE)
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills and Attitudes (WPF)
  • BA (Joint Hons.) Psychology and Sociology (University of Hull)

I also provide counselling on a voluntary basis at The City Lit Adult Education Institute in Covent Garden.
I have experience of counselling people who are, or think they may be, on the Autistic Spectrum.

If you have, or think you may have, High Functioning Autism (Asperger's Syndrome), I offer a non-judgemental approach to help you explore your strengths as well as difficulties.

I offer private Counselling and Psychotherapy to individual adults, either short-term or longer-term, on a once a week basis. The initial session is free, and evening sessions are available.
I am a registered provider for Aviva and Cigna Healthcare.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
