Workshop for survivors of sexual abuse and those that support them

2nd November 2019, 2.00pm - 5.00pm
Open to all
£50 early bird plus subsidised places at £30/£20
London, N1 9PW

The workshop is for survivors of sexual abuse and those that support them and is called:

“Thinking out loud! Breaking the silence around shame, sex,
anger, and betrayal after sexual abuse”

We will be focusing on how being abused may impact certain aspects of how survivors relate to themselves and others. We will also share information and ideas on how we can build healthier and closer relationships.

Workshop topics include:

  • Breaking out of isolation and meeting others in a safe space
  • Learning how to express anger constructively
  • Understanding how we can live shame free
  • Reclaiming sexuality and body image after abuse
  • Rediscovering trust after betrayal.

There is the opportunity to talk in small groups (but no pressure); we also give extensive handouts and refreshments are also included.

Professionals are also very welcome and we give CPD Certificates for your files. We have had some very encouraging feedback from counsellors attending our other workshops, saying it has given them new skills, knowledge, and confidence when working with survivors.

Partners and friends also welcome - we care about you too and recognise that we all need to support in order to be supportive.
