Working with couples - 6 day programme
Cutting edge training in couple counselling in Newcastle upon Tyne
new programme for 2024
Our couples counselling course has received fantastic feedback from previous delegates and we are delighted to offer a new programme beginning in September 2024.
This cutting edge training course has been created specifically for trained and experienced therapists, seeking to add the skills and theory of couple work to their existing counselling skill set. Now in its 7th year, the programme places special attention on the power in couple relationships and domestic violence, two aspects of training that are crucial to delivering ethical and professional couple counselling.
This comprehensive course is delivered over 3 weekends (6 days) and provides participants with the skills and knowledge they may require to commence the journey into counselling couples (under appropriate supervision). Note, however, that this course does not qualify participants to be agency trained and placement completed couple therapists.
Graeme Armstrong has been a therapist since 1998. Originally trained in the person centred approach he then continued his training with Relate using psychodynamic and behavioural approaches to counsel couples in their relationships.
